Dry ice pellets are propelled on the surface at a speed of 150 m/s (540 Km/h).
Thermal shock
It is due to the difference of temperatures between the dry ice (-79 °C) and the surface and “destroys” encrustations and removes them from the surface. The higher the thermal shock, the faster and more efficient the cleaning.
Sublimation
Pellets penetrate the cracks created in the dirt and sublimate (explode) and expand 400 times their original volume. The dirt is thus removed from the surface.
Dry surface
The surface is clean and dry and no residues are left.
